PetSafe Wireless Instant Fence Pet Containment System IF-100 & PIF-275 Collars #PetSafe
The Wireless Fence Transmitter can be used to expand the limits of your existing IF-300. The wireless fence transmitter can be used to expand the limits of your existing IF-300 PetSafe wireless instant fence pet containment system. You can use this additional transmitter to increase the size of your containment area. This creates multiple intersecting circles. The two transmitters would create a boundary in a shape similar to the MasterCard logo. The signal is canceled where the circles intersect, allowing the pet access to the entire area. The transmitters can be located a maximum of 150 ft. apart and each transmitter must be in an enclosed area. This transmitter is compatible only with the PetSafe wireless fence receiver (IF-275).
ADMIN – Hi Beth. Have you visited our DogFenceDIY page? What is the size of your containment area? Does your yard have a slope, metal, metal fence, metal siding, metal roof, trees, or shed? Wireless dog fence systems do not work well under these conditions. However, the would work well for your two dogs. We recommend setting the YardMax to Traditional Mode “B” and adjusting the Boundary Control Dial on the Transmitter to the appropriate Boundary Width setting. For example, if you set the Boundary Width Control Dial to 6 you will have 3 feet of signal on each side of the boundary wire. The boundary wire can be installed in front or along the bottom of the wood fence. This prevents the dog from damaging, digging, or jumping over the fence. The boundary flags are set at the 3 feet warning zone inside of the pet area. Then, test the Collar with the Test Light Tool to make sure the collar is beeping and correcting 3 feet inside of the boundary wire.

Wireless Pet Containment System: Innotek Zone, Pet Safe Instant Fence
The Petsafe wireless instant fence pet containment system works by allowing your dog a circular boundary area of your choosing. The “fence” is completely to everyone. The PIF 300 Petsafe achieves this by using radio frequencies sent to a series of flags placed in the ground on the property. The transmitter for the Petsafe instant fence is connected wirelessly to a collar your dog wears which is operated by batteries that are simple to replace when needed. A constant radio signal is emitted from the transmitter and is adjustable up to ninety feet in all directions. When your dog approaches the boundary, a warning beep will let them know they are getting too close. If the dog continues to stray past the boundaries of the Petsafe containment system, a static correction is issued via the collar until the dog returns safely within the boundaries. This system is considered to be very humane and will not hurt the dog. Most dogs will learn to stay away simply by the initial warning beep.I have a question regarding the Havahart Custom wireless system. I have two dogs, both weighing about 45 lbs each, who both will take off at will to chase animals when they see them. A couple of years ago, I purchased a professionally installed wired pet containment system and trained my dogs to remain in the yard. Unfortunately, the instinct to chase animals often overtook them, and they would bolt through the wired containment field, suffer the correction, but keep running so that they would quickly get beyond the correction field radius, and the the correction would stop. I had the installer come out 3 times for professional training sessions and to increase the correction levels, and the dogs would pass with flying colors. Yet they continued to run through the correction field when I would let them out into the yard later. Finally I gave up, worked out a deal with the company from whom I purchased the fence so that I only had to make a partial payment, and returned the collars and transmitter.
