Size Small Dog Rescue has dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens for adoption. Adopt a pet in Saskatoon, SK.
My friend Donovan and his fiancee have big hearts. In this video you can see some of the exotic animals under their care; many of these include rescue pets.
Each creature is given a habitat in which they can be healthful and thrive. To help finance pet care and to spread valuable information, they offer a travelling petting zoo-like experience for interested schoolroom classes and get-togethers like children's birthdays.
Both live in Saskatoon.
Adopt a Paw Pet Haven is a non-profit pet shelter. We are mainly a dog shelter but we have taken in almost any type of pet over the last few years. If we cannot take a pet in then we can refer you to someone who can! We started Adopt a Paw Pet Haven about 2 years ago and received our non-profit status in July of 2011. We have rehomed many animals to great new families as well as many have become permanent additions of our family! We work hard to make sure all of our adoptables are social with kids and other animals and will make great new family additions. We love the animals and that why we do what we do. We cannot keep every pet that comes through our doors but we enjoy the time we spend with them.
Paws Pet Haven's main focus is to work with and provide relief for other over flowing shelters, especially many of the high kill shelters in California. We work with many of the bully breeds that people seem to be so fearful of. They are really wonderful dogs which is why the shelters spend so much money sending them to rescues instead of euthanizing them. Many people ask why we spend so much time, effort, and finances bringing these dogs up here. In the US many families are loosing their homes and so dogs and puppies (that we would never see in a Canadian shelter) come in by the hundreds. Perfectly good family dogs with no place to go. Most dogs are only given a few days to a few weeks to be adopted before they are put down. There are just way more dogs then there are people to help them. Hundreds are put down each week due to lack of space. We have our dogs temperament tested and do our best to select the most family orientated and adoptable dogs possible and bring them to Canada to find a new life. Although we are based in Saskatoon, SK we work with fosters and adopters all over Canada.
