My story: My name is Alice and I am about 2 years old. I lived on the streets in Sulfer Springs most of my life. I was severely injured and my tail was all but severed. I dragged it around for a long time until I was rescued by St Francis Animal Rescue. I have tolerated the pain of an injured tail because my focus was trying not to starve to death. I was taken in by my foster who gave me the first good meal I have had in a very long time. I was then taken to the vet where they had to amputate my horribly injured tail. I am so grateful to St Francis for giving me the antibiotics and pain medicine I need to get better. I feel I have a second chance for a happy life.I would be happiest as an only cat, and please- no small children. I like things quiet and calm. I like to be petted and scratched but I'm not a lap kitty. Somebody hurt me in the past, so sometimes I get scared.
My story: Ruby was trapped, neuter, vaccinated and released and was living in a feral colony and later developed an upper respiratory infection. St. Francis was contacted by her feral sponsor and she was placed in foster care where she was given medication to treat her infection. She has made a wonderful full recovery and during this process her Foster noted that she was wanting to be petted. Therefore her foster began working with her to see if she would be a good candidate for a forever home. It was quickly learned that this little girl is very sweet. When she was placed with her sisters and brothers you could see her spirits rise and she was quick to recognize them and begin playing. She is now playing like a kitten which is an opportunity she never had before. She is not fond of being be picked up but she loves to purr while being talked to and petted. Give her a feather to play with and she is yours forever. She is looking for a forever home.

Pet Rescue Cats - Pet Rescue NY
Although not always sure of the pedigree or background of each cat or dog, those we place are generally well-socialized family pets who came to the city shelter through no fault of their own. We rescue kittens and puppies, nursing moms and litters, adults, seniors and special needs cats and dogs who deserve another chance for a loving home. Our home network allows us to become fully familiar with each of our available cats and available dogs and helps us ensure the best possible match with adoptive familiesMany adoption agreements also have a provision mandating that if things don’t work out with the pet, you must return it to the group rather than find it another home. Let’s call this the . The comedian adopted a Brussels Griffon named Iggy that just couldn’t get along with her cats. DeGeneres gave it to her hairdresser, who has two daughters, then aged 11 and 12, and Iggy basked in the love fest. Then someone from the group called to check in with DeGeneres on how Iggy was doing. She told them about the new arrangement. Not only was DeGeneres in breach of contract, the group didn’t want Iggy living with any children under age 14. They confiscated the dog.
